Al Johari is an intimate boutique hotel with 15 rooms in the centre of the historic UNESCO World Heritage site of Stone Town. This opulent hotel has been carefully refurbished in keeping with the beautiful, original architecture. We invite you to experience the jewel ("Johari") of Stone Town.

We have endeavored to produce an exceptional hotel property while keeping within the Architecture and dimensions of Stone Town history and have placed an emphasis on modern state-of-the-art amenities as well as the opulent luxuries of the Omani, Persian, Indian and Swahili influences that have dwelled in the Islands of East Africa and particularly Zanzibar. Each room has marble flooring, Persian rugs, flat LCD screens with cable television, small fridge and climate control. All bathrooms have massage showers and the Deluxe Suites feature Jacuzzis. There is free wireless internet access in every room and throughout the hotel. The Fusion Restaurant emphasises its name in décor, atmosphere and menu. Our chef prepares delicious meals using only the freshest local seafood, poultry, vegetables and meat from Pemba and Arusha, infused with a variety of Zanzibar’s famous spices. The Fusion Lounge is probably the most fashionable bar of its kind in Stone Town, where guests may enjoy a laid back ambiance with a medley of lounge music, Sheeshas, Havana Cigars and Tapas.

Deposit and cancellation policy

A 15% deposit is due and payable upon booking. This deposit is non-refundable.

The balance is due upon arrival at the hotel.
Should you cancel a confirmed booking, a cancellation fee in percentage of the total costs of the booking will be charged.
For cancellations received 30 to 7 days prior to scheduled arrival, 50% of total costs will be charged in addition to the non-refundable deposit.
For cancellations received 6 to 48 hours prior to scheduled arrival, 75% of total costs will be charged in addition to the non-refundable deposit.
For cancellations received less than 48 hours prior to scheduled arrival or for no-show, 100% of total costs will be charged.
